Speed and operating flexibility, and a team of fantastic people – according to Jacek Michalak, CEO of Selena Group, these are the key enablers of a global success in business. In mid-July, the global Wrocław-based manufacturer and distributor of construction chemicals celebrated its milestone anniversary with more than 250 employees and guests.
Early in the 1990s, most Polish companies dreamed of becoming a local distributor of a well-known Western company. But we decided to build our own brand from scratch
- emphasized Krzysztof Domarecki, Selena's founder and main shareholder, in his anniversary speech.
Success doesn’t just find you or comes out of nothing. It’s born out of creativity, innovative thinking and hard work. It’s worth emphasizing that apart from success in business, Selena has never forgotten about social responsibility; about the fact that it’s part of an even larger project, that it’s a Polish company
- stressed Jarosław Kresa, Deputy Governor of Lower Silesia, one of the guests at the anniversary meeting.
From Wrocław to the outskirts the world
Our presence on four continents already makes us stand out from other Polish companies. However, our appetite is constantly growing. In today's world, success is enabled by several factors. Firstly, it's speed, secondly, it's flexibility. And last but not least, but in fact most importantly – people. Without all of you, Selena's success wouldn’t be possible
- said Jacek Michalak, CEO, to the employees and representatives of Group companies present at the meeting.
A new decade, a new space
For the decades to come, we will be operating from a building located at the heart of Wrocław, built in a new low-emission technology and designed to strengthen teamwork. We were keen to create a friendly, comfortable space that would facilitate networking between employees and would be conducive to a creative atmosphere, supporting the development of the whole Selena Group
- emphasized Andrzej Zygadło, the Chief HR Officer.
