Selena Group employees have engaged in social support activities for many years. During the meeting to celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary, they rode exercise bikes together, combining service with pleasure. They had a noble motivation – the 230 kilometers “traveled” were converted into over PLN 11,000 and donated to two charities.
The donation will help achieve another goal: build the Respite Care Home. Respite care will provide relief for parents and caregivers of the charges of our foundation. This center will be the first facility of this kind in the western part of Poland. This is immensely important not only for the children themselves, but above all for their caregivers, who are there for them around the clock and don’t have time look after their own health or life comfort. We’re extremely grateful that Selena has decided to support our organization for the second time. Thank you very much.
- said Marta Golnik, the Foundation’s Administrative Director, who received a symbolic check.
We have a company in Ukraine, so offering help was the most natural reaction for us. Earlier, we helped 10 families of our employees and partners to find their safe haven in Poland. It’s worth noting that Selena Group employees arranged for transport of those families from the Ukraine-Poland border. We also helped two Ukrainian families who fled war-ravaged Ukraine to Poland: we donated computer equipment to them so that their children could take part in distance learning. Local fundraisers for Ukraine were also organized by Selena’s production plants in Poland and Spain
- said Andrzej Zygadło, Chief HR Officer.
The donation will help us prepare food boxes for over eighty people particularly affected by Russian aggression in Ukraine
- says Iryna Zhabynska.
